How to Talk to Girls at Parties by Neil Gaiman

This graphic novel of How to Talk to Girls at Parties is an adaptation of a short story by Neil Gaiman, translated into comics form by twin brothers Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba.

The story follows two teenage boys who are going to a party to talk to girls, as the title may indicate. But there is something odd about these girls... While Vic is caught up by the beauty and interest of one girl, Enn is talking to several other girls, hearing strange stories but not really listening because, well, they're beautiful girls. But are they really, or are they... something else?

This is my favorite short story by Neil Gaiman, and this book illustrates the story very much the way I saw it in my head. There's something a little magical about seeing how someone else draws the things that you imagined when you read the same story they read.

If you enjoy this book, I would also recommend reading The Sandman series, graphic novels by Neil Gaiman with the same otherworldly-meets-fantasy feel, or for a younger audience, Coraline (the original bookthe illustrated book or the movie).
