Exquisite Corpse by Penelope Bagieu

Exquisite Corpse is a graphic novel for adults about a young Parisian woman who, frustrated with her unsatisfying life, finds herself in a whirlwind romance with a shut-in author, for whom she is something of a muse. When she meets his editor and learns more about his fame as a writer, things get more complicated.

It's not a very long read, but it's interesting and there is a lot going on without being too complex.

If you like graphic novels by French authors, give Blue Is the Warmest Color a read, or you might enjoy Persepolis.
