Woodpecker Wants a Waffle by Steve Breen

Benny the woodpecker wakes up one morning to a new and delicious smell. He follows the smell and finds himself at a diner serving waffles. Now that he knows about waffles, he wants one! Benny tries a number of ruses to get inside, but the lady at the diner won’t let him in. Now his forest friends tell him, “Woodpeckers don’t eat waffles.” What’s a woodpecker to do? Benny wants that waffle, and it’s going to take his biggest trick yet to get one.

Woodpecker Wants a Waffle is a cute and silly story that will make children of all ages smile. With simple text and full page, colorful pictures, this book is a delight.
