The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming, by Lemony Snicket

We've all heard of Christmas in July, so why not Hanukkah in July? The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming by Lemony Snicket is a fun children's tale about a latke who jumps out of the pan of hot oil during Hanukkah and goes running around town, interacting with other holiday symbols, such as a Christmas tree. It's a fun way to tell children (or adults!) the story of Hanukkah and compare and contrast the holiday to other holidays that their friends may be celebrating.

If you like this book, but you'd prefer some less seasonally inappropriate choices, you should also take a look at Lemony Snicket's other works, like the  Unfortunate Series of Events (which starts with The Bad Beginning, also available in Spanish), or his detective story Shouldn't You Be in School? However, if you're embracing this "Christmas in July" thing, try Lemony Snicket's other Christmas story about an anthropomorphized holiday symbol, The Lump of Coal.
