Ella and Penguin: Stick Together by Megan Maynor
Ella and her friend Penguin are excited about their new book of stickers. These aren't just ordinary stickers--these are supposed to glow in the dark. However, both Ella and Penguin are afraid of the dark, so they aren't able to see the stickers glow.
They try different things, like seeing if the stickers will glow somewhere that's mostly (but not completely!) dark. They try sitting in the bathtub with the shower curtain closed. No luck. They try sitting under a laundry basket. Still no luck!
After much debate, Ella and Penguin decide to venture into the dark closet together. To their delight, their stickers really do glow! Soon, they forget how afraid they were to begin with. They love their stickers so much, they agree that the dark isn't so bad after all when they're brave together.
Author Megan Maynor's story, combined with illustrator Rosalinde Bonnet's adorable artwork, make this an enjoyable book for children and adults alike.
