All of My Heart
Jenny Fintley (played by Lacey Chabert) is an aspiring chef who unexpectedly inherits half of a country house in a small town. Her co-inheritor is Brian Howell (Brennan Elliott), a Wall Street stock trader. Understandably, their opposite personalities clash at first. Jenny wants to renovate the house, a definite fixer-upper, and transform it into a bed and breakfast. Meanwhile, Brian wants to sell his half of the house for a profit. However, when Brian suddenly finds himself unemployed, he moves in to the country house with Jenny and they begin renovations together.
Initially, Jenny and Brian seem to have little in common and don't get along well. But as they spend time together, they find themselves forming a bond that goes beyond their mutual interest in the house. They're not only transforming the house, but also changing their lives for the better and building a relationship.
Hallmark Channel movies can be hit or miss at times, but this one gets so many things right. The writing is both comical and heartfelt. As for the actors, the leads have great comedic timing and chemistry together. The supporting cast features a strong group, including Ed Asner as a wise resident of the town, as well as an adorable goat named Gabby, who's somewhat of a supporting actress in her own right.
