Polar Bear's Underwear

by Tupera Tupera

Polar can’t find his underwear!  Luckily his friend mouse can help him.  Together they look for them, finding all sizes and colors.  Polar Bear can’t remember which pair he was wearing but he knows that the itty-bitty pair with flowers aren’t his.  Neither are the polka dot ones with ruffles.  Does polar bear find his underwear?  Where could they be?!?

Read Polar Bear's Underwear by Tupera Tupera, and help Mouse and Polar Bear as they search.  As they find each new pair, we can peek right through an underwear shaped cut out and try to guess who the underwear might belong to.  Adults reading with children can help by asking the questions, “What do you see on these underwear? Who might they belong to?”  This is an exciting way to interact with a fun story and to help build critical thinking skills.

Searching for lost items is something we can all relate to.  Animals wearing underwear is very silly, and will bring on lots of giggles, making this story a wonderful way to get kids excited about reading!

If you like Polar Bear’s Underwear, you might want to try
The Underpants Zoo by Brian Sendelbach.  The zoo animals also have their very own favorite kinds of underwear, but their problem is a bit different from Polar Bear’s!  Check out a copy for yourself see what all the fuss is about!  You can find both of these titles in our library catalogue.
