Pandora Hearts is a twisted take on Alice in Wonderland. Mochizuki has taken characters from Lewis Caroll’s classic tale and places them in interesting situations. While some of the characters come from classic literature, this story is so much more. Fans of the classic Alice will enjoy seeing their favorite (or not so favorite) characters in another light and those not familiar with the tale will enjoy the story for itself. The artwork has clean lines and even with action, the reader is transported into the story. The first volume hints at a very compelling story with some beloved characters from classic literature doing not so classic things. This title is for teens and adults and does include some mild violence and very few instances of adult language. Pandora Hearts is a very compelling read that persuades the reader to continue on in the series.
