Big Appetites: Tiny People in a World of Big Food
Some people have way too much time on their hands. Time to create scrapbooks, and videos of their happenings, and to take sooooo many pictures of seemingly trivial things. And, guess what? Those people are great, and you'll agree with me when you take a look at the book Big Appetites: Tiny People in a World of Big Food by Christopher Boffoli.
Big Appetites is a collection of photographs taken of small models of people in various silly situations that involve food like the Zesty Mower seen above: "It was so like Patty: right idea, wrong execution" reads the caption for the photo. Fun and silly is what this book is all about.
Boffoli is a fine art and commercial photographer who has done a lot of travel photography. But his exhibitions of the Big Appetites work have been seen around the world in galleries and fairs including Seattle, London, and Seoul. Many people take food pictures and post them to Facebook, but these photos take playing with your food to a whole new level.
Some of you won't like it, but that's ok, because those of us who are having fun will still take the time to toss you a toasted oat vowel when you start to drown in your misery.
