The recipes are cheap, not fancy or complicated and would be perfect for college students, beginning cooks, visual learners, or someone with their first apartment. Mac and Cheese, 2 a.m. Chili, and Jalapeño Poppers are just some of the "recipes that you'll actually make."
My college age son gave this cookbook a thumbs up. He admitted that he would actually use it. Cooking Comically is seasoned with spicy language so I would not share it with younger children. If you enjoy this kind of cookbook I would recommend Relish: My Life in The Kitchen by Lucy Knisley, a graphic novel/foodie memoir which includes recipes for some of the author's favorite foods.
