True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps

True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps
By Alan Ball, Gianna Sobol, and Karen Shalett.
Recipes by Marcelle Bienvenu

How would you like to sit down and watch an episode of True Blood while sipping on a Dead on the Beach or Vampade drink just like the patrons of Fangtasia? Or you could serve up a helping of Ruby Jean's Hash like they serve at Merlotte's.  These recipes and many others from the T.V. series are in this book.

There are wonderful color pictures of many of the recipes.  Even better is that there are also yummy photos of the cast members, the sets, and still shots from the series.  If you never plan to make a single recipe from this book you will still enjoy just looking at all the pictures.

The book is broken down into sections such as Drinks to Die For, Home Cookin' and Eating Out in Bon Temps.  Each section has an introduction written by a character from the show.  Also, each recipe has a lead-in provided by a character.

The recipes are provided by Marcelle Bienvenu, a true Cajun, who has collaborated with Emeril Lagasse on other cookbooks.  Marcelle grew up in Louisiana cooking Creole and Cajun so she knows her way around okra.
