On the Same Page: Virginia Beach Reads The Dirty Life by Kristin Kimball

This October, Virginia Beach Public Library is bringing sustainability, farming, and local food to the forefront with “On the Same Page: Virginia Beach Reads The Dirty Life.” This community reading program, supported by the Friends of the Library, will focus on Kristin Kimball’s memoir, The Dirty Life: a Memoir of Farming, Food and Love. Read a review of the book here on VBPL Recommends.

The library is encouraging the community to read Kimball’s book and participate in book discussions and other related programs and events throughout the month of October. Virginia Beach has a rich agricultural history that VBPL will celebrate with a full menu of programs for all ages based on food and farming. Don’t miss our “Farm Fare Finale” celebration on October 26, including a Skype chat with Kristin Kimball.

The program guide is available here.

This week on VBPL Recommends, the "On the Same Page" team will be sharing items available in the VBPL catalog related to food, farming, gardening, and more. Enjoy!
