Quilts from the House of Tula Pink: 20 Fabric Projects to Make, Use and Love by Tula Pink

Fabric designer Tula Pink has published a georgous book of modern quilts using some of her iconically whimsical fabric collections. The book begins with helpful techniques, quilting tips, color choice recommendations and most excitingly … a “sneak peak” into the magical world of fabric design.

Tula Pink’s 20 quilt patterns and fabric projects include a wide variety of modern quilts that look so cozy and colorful they make you want to curl up with a good book (maybe even this book) under a one of these beautiful designs and spend a few hours in solitude…with an active toddler and a full time job maybe this is just my personal interpretation. Regaurdless, Quilts from the House of Tula Pink will inspire any quilter or fabric craft extraordinaire to dig into their fabric stash and start creating one of these inspiringly bright patterns.

My personal favorite is the Any Which Way Quilt, which incorporates the scrappy fusing technique into large scale geometric arrows on a subdued background. Another simple, but eye catching design is the Lollipops Pillow made with fabric covered buttons.

I recommend this book if you are interested in modern quilting, fabric design or simply want to enjoy the beautiful photographs that accompany these projects. Checkout Quilts from the House of Tula Pink at VBPL today.
