Mr. Pusskins: A Love Story

Oh, bad, naughty, mischievous, ungrateful Mr. Pusskins. At the beginning of our story, our title character lives the sweet cat life with his adoring owner Emily. Each day Emily plans fun games for them to play, brushes his soft kitty fur, and sends him to bed with stories and snuggling. (Sound familiar, parents?) Does Mr. Pusskins appreciate any of it? Certainly not! And off he goes in search of wild adventures elsewhere.

But the naughty fun loses its appeal after a while, and the naughty friends aren't the companions a cat needs, and eventually, Mr. Pusskins finds himself a very alone and sorry kitty. Will Emily forgive him for his errant ways? Will she take him back? Mr. Pusskins and millions of cheating husbands struggle with the uncertainty.

Beautifully written and illustrated by Sam Lloyd, the story of Mr. Pusskins helps us remember and instill in our children the virtue of gratitude. Through the missteps of one bad-tempered pet we are reminded how important it is to appreciate the people and things that make our lives a little nicer. And, in the end, "...both Emily and Mr. Pusskins realize how lucky they are to have each other".
