Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich by Adam Rex

Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich: And other Stories You're Sure to Like Because They're all About Monsters, and Some of Them are Also About Food. You Like Food, Don't You? Well Alright Then is a comedic masterpiece. This book is a collection of poems and short rhyming stories about the trials and tribulations of monster life. A perfect read for the Halloween season.

Some of my favorite excerpts include; "Bigfoot Can't Believe You Called Him Yeti Just Now" "Count Dracula Doesn't Know He's Been Walking Around all Night with Spinach in his Teeth" and "The Creature from the Black Lagoon Doesn't wait an Hour Before Swimming."

In addition to Rex's laugh out loud humor readers will also enjoy the variety of artistic style used to illustrate this book. Rex truly highlights his diversity as an illustrator and includes detailed emotional portraits of Frankenstein, pen and ink sketches, traditional comic book art and even some images reminiscent of the traditional Little Golden Book classic illustrations and 1950's Sci Fi movie posters.
