Story of India, directed by Jeremy Jeff & starring Michael Wood

Journey through India's amazing history with Michael Wood as your guide in The Story of India. While India's history is vast, this great series of six episodes is an excellent start for learning about India. Michael Wood is a wonderful narrator and guide who is truly in love with history and travel. I highly recommend this series for anyone wanting to take a stab at India's entire history.

Begin with the first episode which covers the very beginnings of India as the first humans arrive from the west and travel along until you reach the sixth episode of modern India. Michael Wood will race you around the the country as you explore India's ancient ruins, texts, statues, culture, and language. The Story of India is an amazing journey. The scenery in the film is stunning as is Michael Wood's narration of history to the audience. This is a great introduction into the history of one of the oldest civilizations in the world and the largest growing democracy today.

You can pick up a copy of The Story of India at your local Virginia Beach Public Library.

If you enjoyed Michael Wood's narration, then you may also want to pick more films and books by him. You can search the works of Michael Wood in our libraries.
